The absolute love of my life asked me to be his wife; and of course I said yes!
Spencer and I are getting married! MARRIED!
The evening was so perfect, just the two of us.
Spencer took me to dinner and drove me around downtown (all while having the ring in his pocket). When we got home that night he told me he had a late birthday/Valentine’s Day present for me because I playfully give him a hard time for combining the two each year. I unwrapped what I thought was a photo album but to my surprise it was actually a scrapbook. I started to flip through the pages and my eyes welled up with tears because of all the detail and effort put into each page. There were pictures of us from every year we’ve been together, going all the way back to the summer after high school! I thanked him repeatedly and hugged him and told him it was the most thoughtful present I could have ever dreamed of — and he interrupted me with “I think you missed a page”. I flipped back through and was positive I hadn’t, but there it was. The first page in our forever, complete with one of our favorite bible verses & my favorite flowers. I looked up to see my boyfriend of 7.5 years down on his knee, holding my dream ring & asking me to marry him.

I am so proud of the beautiful young lady you have become. Spencer is a very lucky man. I wish you both the best of luck and remember your Mother and I will always be there watching over you. I can’t wait for the wedding!
All my love,
