Let me give you some back story here…
I graduated from college and immediately started working as a microbiologist in a laboratory that studies air quality. When someone takes a sample of the air in a home or commercial building we analyze the sample under a microscope & record our findings. Unfortunately, this means I’m very aware of the not so healthy stuff floating around us.
Once I started to pay more attention to what I was putting into the air of my own home, I began to make some changes. I decided to stop burning candles and focus on diffusing oils.
I loved it!
Our home smells so good and our bodies benefit from it as well!
My diffuser is subtle and small, which is nice when you don’t want it as a focal point in your home. I’m obsessed with it & this particular one was a gift, but you can find it here for a very reasonable price.
Here’s the important part, the oils. I was given a gift card to Edens Garden Essential Oils and I will never use anything else.
First of all, the quality is undeniable. Everything from the package you receive the oils in, to the lasting aroma when you defuse them is a testimony to how expensive they should be… but they aren’t. That leads me to the cost. They are so affordable and completely customizable when buying a set.
All in all, I had a really great experience with defusing & I hope this is a little more insight into that world if you’ve been hesitant to try it.

I never thought about the negative effects of burning candles. I love the idea of being able to customize the scents to whatever I feel like that day! Definitely going to try this in the near future!
Oils are so addicting!! Especially when you start to see the effects they can have on your health and happiness. Every time I start to feel a little sickness coming on I diffuse my favorites for fighting it off and it really does help. Thanks for writing about the process and letting people know that it doesn’t have to be intimidating and that oils don’t have to break the bank!
