Hi. Remember me? The Mrs. running the show here..
Let’s be honest, it’s been a hot minute since you’ve heard from my camp. Life is demanding & in constant need of attention, so little blogs like this one tend to get pushed to the side and forgotten about. I’ve been feeling guilty for leaving my little arrow unattended but I honestly didn’t think anyone would even notice. News flash, I have some really supportive people in my life and in the last two weeks I’ve had to come up with one lame excuse after another to answer the same question; why haven’t we heard from The Steady Arrow?
Well, after the sweetest push from a life long friend.. here I am, folks.
I believe we left off just before our honeymoon, so let’s catch y’all up!
Aloha, people. Welcome to HAWAII.
My hubs deserves a little shout out before I get too far into our honeymoon recap for taking care of me when I got motion sickness on the first flight. Have you ever been on a flight that went through “rough air”?.. I guess warning passengers that the plane will constantly feel like its falling out of the sky for the next 6 hours might create a panic, so rough air it is. Anyway, when we finally landed in L.A. all I had to do was say I was feeling sick and the aisle full of impatient passengers cleared like a parting sea, haha! Spencer made a little sleeping area for me during our layover and when I woke up he had water, Advil & a snack waiting for me. We waved goodbye to L.A. shortly after and thankfully had the smoothest flight ever on our way to Oahu.
If you’ve ever watched a movie or show that had anything to do with Hawaii, then chances are you’ve seen The hotel we stayed at. The Hilton Village in Waikiki is a huge resort right on the beach with an incredible view of Diamond Head & Hawaiian sunsets. We got a room upgrade (Newlyweds for life) and a delicious dessert when we checked in, so it’s safe to say we were some happy campers from day one!
We spent the next couple days doing absolutely nothing. I mean NOTHING. When we weren’t playing in the saltwater lagoon that overlooks the ocean, we took full advantage of poolside bar service and talked about whether or not we actually had the courage to do the local submarine tour…. turns out, we did.
Our hands down favorite island activity was the Atlantis Submarine Tour. It is an actual passenger submarine that you are taken to via ferry and submerged over 100 feet below sea level to explore reefs off the coast. You would not believe the amount of marine life we saw. The guide that explains the history behind the manmade reefs was hilarious. He had Spencer and I in fits of laughter the whole time but simultaneously taught us so much throughout the tour. It was worth every penny!
We had our fair share of fancy meals listening to the waves crashing on the beach, but a little cafe ended up stealing our hearts (or should I say appetites?). The Goofy Cafe & Dine was out of this world. It was fast, budget friendly & SO GOOD! It was a really nice way to spend our morning before heading to the airport and back to reality.
We can’t wait to go back and continue to explore the island and all the adventures it has to offerย โก

Sounds like a perfect honeymoon, and the best way to spend time in Hawaii! Worth the wedding toil…I think I’ll get remarried—in Hawaii! Will you be my maid of honor?
