First of all, happy Wednesday!! We’re halfway through the work week & the light at the end of the tunnel just keeps getting bigger!
Now back to our regularly scheduled program.. Everyday Loose Waves.
I was a diehard “my hair won’t hold curls”…. until I decided to not take no for an answer. I started not taking my curling too seriously and before I knew it I had a method to Loose Waves that takes less than 15 minutes!
I start by letting my hair air dry (blow drying takes me forever and the less heat I use the better, ya dig?). I use a 1.5 inch barrel wand by hot tools & I will never use anything else, EVER! I let my wand heat up and usually do my make up or some other task to be productive.
The biggest secret I have to share is not to curl every piece of hair. I know that sounds strange but the pieces underneath are barely ever seen and with my short hair it’s so hard to get under there anyway.
I take a small top piece of hair and wrap it around my wand for 5 seconds. Yes, ONLY 5 seconds! We’re looking for Waves not ringlets.
Make your way around you head until the majority of your hair has those sweet baby Waves. Once I’m done with the curling I run my fingers through my hair to break up the curls and really separate the pieces.
I use Fave4 hairspray for an all around mist & my Kenra hairspray with an unbelievable hold strength for the front pieces (so they stay put and OUT OF MY FACE all day).
That’s it folks. It’s an easy everyday look that takes barely any time to achieve, I even rock it on work days when sleep is life! Haha
